Normally it is on Monday November 13th, 2006 that the new tramway on tires will be opened into real commercial service.
Actually, the new tranway was unvieled on October 14th, 2006 but following the October 2nd ‘unguidance’ technical hitch due to an object stucked into the central rail, the Puy-de-Dôme prefecture decided to delay the commercial opening for one month but it’s up to LOHR to find a technical solution to this problème.
The ‘unguidance’ it is the guiding rollers which suddenly get out of the central rail and cause the tramway to swerve.
Wait to see if LOHR will find a technical solution before the commercial opening planed on next Monday !

En principe, c’est le 13 novembre 2006 que le tramway sur pneus de Clermont–Ferrand devrait être mis en service commercial effectif.En effet il avait été inauguré officiellement le 14 octobre 2006, mais suite à l’incident de déguidage du 2 octobre dû à un objet coincé dans le rail central, la préfecture du Puy-de-Dôme avait décidé de retarder la mise en service commerciale d’un mois, le temps à la société LOHR de trouver une solution au problème de déguidage.
Le déguidage, ce sont les galets de guidage qui, brutalement , sortent du rail central et font faire un écart à la rame.
Attendons de voir si une solution technique a été trouvée et si la mise en service commerciale sera réalisée demain !
