Funimag, the web magazine about Funiculars
From the text and the environment, I would say somewhere in the US… Most probably in Colorado / Utah / Nevada / California / Arizona / New Mexico…
Hello Jean-Philippe… it’s a good deduction, but can you be more specific?
Hi Jean-Marie… this is better, but you must be more specific too… I need the town and the name of the funicular 🙂
C’est le “lookout mountain park funicular” je pense : on voit sur google earth un joli tracé bien droit aux environs de 39°44’05N, 105°13’58O
Yes Jean-Marie, you are right, this was the funicular “Lookout Mountain Park” (1912-1916) at Golden (Colorado) .
Here is quite the same view today:
I looked at gMaps yesterday… Pretty sure it is not the South Table Montain railroad because the remants of the station building are not the right shape. I couldn’t find a clue about the Lookout Mountain funicular because of the antenna built on that spot.
Haha I just found a confirmation!
Should have been more careful yesterday… 😉
Here is today on Topozone
Yes jean-Philippe, my photo is part of the photo which is on your link… I have it in really high quality. 🙂
Here is Caruso on Buffalo Bill’s grave on top of Lookout Mountain:
