1988 |
Located in the real center of Bern, the political capital of Switzerland, this cute funicular links the Marzili area, near the Aar river, to the center of the city. First used in 1885, it remained water counterbalanced since 1973. In 1974, it was replaced by an electric and automatic system designed by VON ROLL AG. One of the water counterbalanced cabin is preserved at the famous Transport Museum of Lucern. |
