Since August 1st 2009, there is an inclined elevator up to the fortified church Ringgenberg overlooking the village and Lake Brienz from the top of a rocky promontory. It was wanted to be discreet and for that it is lateral to the stairs of the church and almost entirely hidden in the vegetation.
This cable car is automatic and free. It works only hours from the church.
