Great and rare video from 1902 of the Mount Beacon Incline Railway!
In the first half of the video, see the guy following the descending car on a small one seat carriage fitted with a manual brake. At the passing loop, he is obliged to get off the track because of the ascending car.
Mount Beacon is located in United States in New York State. The Mount Beacon Incline Railway was opened in 1901 and definitively closed in 1978.

Très intéressante et rare vidéo, datant de 1902, du funiculaire du Mount Beacon.
A noter durant la première moitié de la vidéo, l’employé du funiculaire qui descend la pente en suivant la voiture descendante assis sur un petit chariot roulant sur le rail extérieur et équipé d’un frein manuel. Au niveau de l’évitement central il est obligé de s’écarter de la voie afin de laisser passer la voiture montante.
Le Mount Beacon est situé dans l’état de New York (USA). Le funiculaire du Mount Beacon fut en service de 1901 à 1978.
