Doppelmayr has taken over Garaventa and as a result, every ropeway outside Switzerland carries Doppelmayr plates. But aerial tramways and funiculars are still Garaventas speciality. They have the know-how which the austrian mother company didn’t have. For me that was one of the most important reason for this acquisition!
