The cog-wheel train in May 1996

I don't want to make a real study of this cog-wheel train. FUNIMAG is dedicated to the funiculars. I just want to show the similarity between the concept of the Panoramics and the cog-wheel train.
It seems that the municipality of Langres had some regrets to have stopped "La Crémaillère" ! :-)

The five photos, below, show the actual state of the cog-wheel train.
Since 1971, the last remains are the bridge over the rampart and one of the two electric locomotives.
The tracks have completely disappeared. Half of the line is accessible and it is now a foot path. Difficult to know that this path was the line of the cog-wheel train! But with some perspicacity :-) you can find some small remains like a hangar which is the original garage of the locomotives, a wooden bridge with the place of the rails and cog, and also two pieces of the original Riggenbach cog which are vertically planted in the middle of the path with a piece of rail!

The bridge and the electric locomotive.
Don't you think there is a strange similarity between the Panoramics and the old cog-wheel train?

The static electric locomotive on the last section of the Riggenbach cog.

The stones of the original line.
