This system is similar to the one in Laon, France. The difference is that in Laon cabins are detached at stations. Both have been built by Poma.

In Perugia's system cabins can be detached too, but this one is built by Leitner.

Milan's line is about 650 m long and is a shuttle service. Cabins can be attached or detached from the cable, but only when the line is closed. There is a depot at one station, without switches. Cabins are moved with a crane. There are three cabins, the only train that can be used is formed by one, two or all of them.
