Il a maintenant de nouvelles voitures, une nouvelle voie qui a été rallongée à 650 mètres avec un dénivelé plus important (160 mètres) mais avec toujours la même pente moyenne de 25 %.
The Santa Luzia funicular in Viana do Castelo is reopend on 5 April 2007.
